Today, we’re making it even easier to research & book home services with direct links in AI Mode through partners like @angi_home @thumbtack @housecall & @GetJobber (and @ServiceTitan coming soon). It's available now in the U.S.

I had a plumbing emergency at home recently (main line backed up, water coming up fast), and Search really came through.

Pulled up AI Mode and just described my situation. It handled everything: compared local pricing, checked reviews, and made recommendations based on my situation. I quickly booked a great plumber who came right out and got it fixed.

Give it a try the next time you need a hand around the house.

People often ask me what I look for when hiring Product Managers.

Sure, there’s the usual checklist: strong vision, sharp prioritization, and the drive to ship.

But the attribute I value most is curiosity. (Fun fact: I once thought about naming a new company Curious!)

A curious mind is restless. It’s never satisfied with a surface-level understanding of how systems work.

The PMs who consistently make the best decisions are the ones who refuse to stop asking “why.” That curiosity usually shows up in three ways:

🔹 Curiosity about human behavior = Empathy. You can't build a great product until you truly care about the person using it – their struggles, their habits and what they actually need.

🔹 Curiosity about other perspectives = Humility. The best PMs actively look for ways they might be wrong. They look at problems from different angles to make sure they get it right for the user.

🔹 Curiosity about how things work = Relentless progress. This is what drives momentum. It's the constant urge to uncover a better, simpler way to solve a problem.

It comes back to a deep refusal to accept the constraints you're given, and the will to find a way. Skills help you ship a product, but curiosity is what helps you build something people truly love.

It’s about to get much easier to access your go-to apps right in Search. We just opened the public preview for our Connected Apps Platform - a single place for developers to build once & integrate across Search & @GeminiApp.

Developers can get started here: developers.google.com/connected-apps

In the coming weeks, we’ll also launch new Search integrations with @adobe @calm @onepeloton for design help, meditation, and fitness. Plus many more to come!
developers.google.com Connected Apps Platform  |  Google for Developers Connect your application's core functionality to deliver agentic experiences across the Gemini app, AI Mode in Search, and other Google AI surfaces.

Sharing our latest model: Gemini 4 Carbon. It’s great to see the pace of iteration from our teams!

I did say we'd be releasing our models periodically...introducing Gemini 4 Carbon, our next frontier model.

Following Argon's release just two weeks ago, Carbon shows the pace at which we’re pushing the frontier, it ranks #1 on the recently updated v5.0 of @ArtificialAnlys Intelligence Index at 59. It also leads across key cybersecurity evaluations scoring 88.2% on SEC-bench Pro for finding vulnerabilities, 54.8% on ExploitGym for exploitation, and 71.0% on CWE-bench for patching.

We’re seeing significant improvements in long-horizon tasks even compared to Argon, and we’ve strengthened frontier safeguards.

As we did with Argon, we’re going to roll it out gradually + responsibly. Some trusted cyber defenders will get access starting this week. We'll be expanding it to more partners through our Fairwind Program, ahead of wider availability soon, so hang tight!

I love it when AI Mode builds tools as you need them.

For e.g. learning how synthesizers actually work. Instead of explaining wave theories, AI Mode built a playable synth soundbox.

Real time visuals map to instant audio changes, plus a fully playable keyboard.

It's so useful watching abstract concepts quickly turn into something you can actually play with!
