The first 90 days after a PCS move are some of the hardest: job disruption, childcare shortages, school logistics, and the isolation that sets in when a service member reports straight to work. Blue Star Welcome Week was built for exactly that window and military-connected families are experiencing this across the country right now.

When Coast Guard child care centers were at risk of closing during the shutdown, our community showed up. @craignewmark stepped up first, giving generously and rallying others to help keep the centers open.
