If I failed to make one thing clear in my tweets, it’s how angry the senior staff & longtime members are this Congress. Frankly, more angry at corporate America than Trump.

Will be interesting how that pairs with new large freshman caucus that hasn’t been in DC since 2016.

A last remnant of the Long 2016 to disappear will be the idea that politics is about rage & vengeance.

For 10 years after 11/9/16, many of those who were the greatest stalwarts of liberal pluralism - what we often call “liberalism” - were experiencing something like a crisis of faith, such that few prominent people were willing to argue for it on the merits.

That is now changing.

This season of the Trump Show just doesn’t hit like it used to.

It’s not even that the issue is these are all reruns of past surprises, it’s just that the antics are boring.

It’s like watching the escapades of Cousin Oliver on the last season of the Brady Bunch: banal.
